FAQ

Is Red Light safe for my eyes? Do I need to wear eye protection?

Optional eye protection is provided with all our lights for customers who wish to use it, though it is not required. Despite some common misconceptions, the type or frequency of light emitted from Luminexa lights is no more or less dangerous than any other type. The potential harm to eyes comes from the light's intensity, not its type. We advise against looking directly into the panels due to their brightness. Many users either close their eyes or look away from the lights during use.

How often can I do Red Light therapy?

The industry research found that 10-20 minutes per treatment area at a distance of around 8”-14” for deep tissue or 16"-24" for superficial facial skin therapy on bare skin with a max of 2-3 treatment areas per day to be a great average usage guideline for basically all applications. We recommend using light therapy at least 3 to 5 times a week for optimal results.

What about EMF (Electromagnetic Field)?

There is no readable EMF at more than 5” from any Luminexa units.
